There are a lot of strong Chinese dramas released this year and I bet you’re one of the #teamabangers of each episode! Getting tired of waiting and you want to watch another complete series while waiting? Why not watch the dramas from 2019?

Aside from the hit 2019 C-dramas like Go Go Squid, The Untamed, Well Intended Love, and Put Your Head on my Shoulder, have you watched other dramas last year? Below is the list of 2019 C-dramas you should catch up on!

 

1. The King’s Avatar (全职高手)

This drama is the latest adaptation of the award-winning novel about the online multiplayer game, Glory written by Butterfly Blue. This drama became even more popular when the hottest Chinese Actor, Yangyang,  played as the textbook level expert and a top-tier player, Ye Xiu. The story began when he was forcefully expelled out of his professional team and started to live as an Internet Café manager. Another opportunity came for him to rise again to the top when Glory launches a new server.

 

2. My Neighbour Can’t Sleep (我的鄰居睡不著)

This sweet romance drama began when the NBSB aspiring novelist Song Mi Duo met Xi Song, a famous pianist who was suffering from insomnia because of the pressure he faces. Xi Song suddenly realized and finally found comfort when sleeping when he is beside the quirky romance novelist.

 

3. Le Coup de Foudre (我只喜欢你)

Based on a true story of the author Qiao Yi and her husband, this drama was adapted from the popular Chinese novel, “I Don’t Like This World, I Only Like You.” Not only does it focus on the love story between the couple, but the drama also highlights the bonds between the siblings. This is a story is full of laughter, sadness, and life. If you are looking for a high-quality drama, then this one is for you!

 

4. A Little Thing Called First Love (初恋那件小事)

This sweet and adorable Chinese remake of Thailand’s hit film, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, is also an absolute must watch! It is about the story of an ordinary girl who fell in love with the most popular guy in school. Although Xia Miao Miao is a shy and artistic girl, her ordinary life became more colorful day by day because of her crush, Liang You Nian.

 

5. My Youth (等等啊我的青春)

This drama is about the naivety of young love, pureness, and the beauty of friendship and family of a group of friends. This is a perfect youth series that is chill and nothing overdramatic. It talks about life and how teenagers face challenges.

 

6. Just an Encore (八分钟的温暖)

Just an Encore is not the typical cold-hearted and quiet male lead but this story is absolutely beautiful and hearts wrenching at the same time! Just like ordinary people, the characters in the story are not perfect; they get jealous, they can be selfish and petty.

 

7. My Poseidon (我的波塞冬)

This story revolves around a sunny scholar and a marine biology student who wanted to work together to protect the ocean. The story is simple but the chemistry between the two leads will make you fell in love with the drama. The continuous bickering of the lead is just too funny to watch!

 

8. Love Under the Moon (山月不知心底事)

   

A story about a heroine and her complicated relation with the Ye Family, later on, she grew emotionally entangled with the two brothers. This slow and sweet series is a must-watch if you are looking for something about a couple who grew up together and had an amazing bond.

 

9. Somewhere Only We Know (独家记忆)

This drama is more of the love story of a Ph.D. candidate Mu Cheng He and third-year student Xue Tong. The story began when Cheng He caught Xue Tong cheating on an exam he was proctoring. The two met again when he was asked to become a substitute teacher on her elective course and the rest is history!

 

10. My Girlfriend (我不能恋爱的女朋友)

My Girlfriend is about a girl who got lots of love and support from people around her but she is not that lucky when it comes to love. She believes that she is cursed and will never find happiness in her life.  This soothing romantic drama is a good choice if you like it sweet and playful.
