As a dessert store that opened in the middle of a pandemic-induced quarantine, A’s Delights aims to offer customers the perfect combination of comfort and indulgence with ice cream cakes. Creamy, rich, and decadent, these frozen desserts boldly promise to be heaven in every bite. 

WHAT TO TRY: A’s Delights has a delightful menu of three ice cream cake variants: Avocado Creme (P320), Coffee Fudgie (P300), and Mango Crumble (P300).

2) The Cake Cartel

Inspired by the popular TV series, Narcos, The Cake Cartel is a food start-up that strives to give clients a #LegallyAddicting high with its mouthwatering baked goods. The cake dispensary, staying true to its theme, offers an entertaining range of desserts based on known mafia personalities and Narcos-related terminology. 

“The story of our brand is that we want to be the ‘dealer’ of the best desserts and pastries,” explained business representative Kimberly Chua. “But rest assured, all our products are 100% safe, drug-free, and preservative-free. “

WHAT TO TRY: The Cake Cartel’s best-seller is the gooey and fudgy Pablo Esco’bars’ (Chocolate Revel Bars) (P350 – box of 12). Ain’t Your Ordinary PH is an online dessert shop run by Dubai-based chef Christopher Cuerdo. Being unable to return to his work abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cuerdo decided to open a small but unique food business, offering clients bite-sized pastries that are well beyond the ordinary.

TheOrdinarySip is an online shop that specializes in serving White Fungus Dessert, a traditional Chinese soup that is both a nutritious and delectable treat. White fungus, known as bok ni to Chinoys, is “the poor man’s bird’s nest,” — a source of several vitamins and minerals that nourish the body.  

WHAT TO TRY: TheOrdinarySip’s sole specialty is its Traditional White Fungus Dessert, which is priced at P125 per jar (250mL).
