5 highly recommended October 2020-released Chinese dramas

Every month, the Chinese drama industry releases different series and I know you are also looking forward to watching your favorite actors and actresses in new offerings! Not only do they premiere dramas but they also do not stop filming for new ones!

Here are our five highly recommended October-released C-dramas to watch out for:

   1. [ONGOING] The Moon Brightens for You (明月曾照江东寒)

Adapted from the wuxia novel by author Ding Mo, it’s a story about Zhan Qinghong wanting to turn her martial arts dream into a reality. Later on, she realized that the world that she looked up to for so long was controlled by wicked traitors. On the other hand, Lin Fang, a notorious playboy who seeks to bring justice for his clan, came along with Qinghong to reform the fighting world.

     2. [COMPLETED] Sweet First Love (甜了青梅配竹马)

This is another adaptation from the school romance novel, Days of Living With Handsome Brother by Tong Tong. The family of Su Mu Yun adopted Zhuo Yi when her parents died in a car accident having her as the only survivor. They changed her name hoping it can help her get past her horrific tragedy. Both of them grew up together and went to the same school but both of them have different lives in school because Su Mu Yun is a popular basketball player and Zhuo Yi is easily bullied.

     3. [ONGOING] The Bloom at Ruyi Pavilion (如意芳霏)

Also, an adaptation from a historical novel Chong Hou Zhi Lu by Xiao Jia Ren about the life of the second daughter of the Fu family, Fu Rong who has the ability to foresee dreams after she suffered from a serious illness. The Prince Su Xu Jin can also foresee dreams and had predicted the same tragedy Hou Zhi saw.

    4. [ONGOING] Dear Mayang Street (亲爱的麻洋街)

This drama is set during the 1980s about the youth and love that revolves around 6 families living on Mayang street in Guangzhou. The couple Ma Xiao Xiao and Ou Xiao Jian live in the same neighborhood and Yi Dong Dong fell in love with Ma Xiao Xiao the moment they first met.

    5. [ONGOING] Detective (侦探语录)

Set in the early Republican era, this drama is about the life of a policeman with a dual personality. A series of homicides occur in the rural side of the Fuyuan County in Tianjin. The policeman uncovers slowly a  shocking secret about Fuyuan County and the struggle between justice and evil.
