A Little Thing Called First Love (2019)

Chinese Title: 初恋那件小事

If this title sounds a bit familiar to you, it’s because the drama has been adapted from the Thai film Crazy Little Thing Called Love (2010). Featuring a romantic coming-of-age story, this C-drama follows Xia Miaomiao (Zhao Jinmai), a shy artistic student, as she falls in love with Liang Younian (Lai Kuanlin), the most popular boy on campus. 

With the help of her friends, Xia Miaomiao embarks on a journey of self-discovery throughout her college life, developing an interest in fashion, joining school clubs, and studying hard to improve her grades. Slowly, her ordinary life starts to get more colorful as the days fly.

Find Yourself (2020)

Chinese Title: 下一站是幸福

In this fluffy, office romance drama, He Fanxing (Victoria Song), an administration director of a design company, enters into a relationship with company intern Yuan Song (Song Weilong). Due to concerns about their large age difference, the couple decides to keep the relationship secret for three months. 

However, due to relationship struggles, He Fanxing turns to Ye Luming (Wang Yaoqing), who aids her under the guise of a relationship mentor. Unbeknownst to He Fanxing, Ye Luming also has a personal interest in pursuing her.

Unrequited Love (2019) 

Chinese Title: 暗恋橘生淮南

Based on a novel of the same name, Unrequited Love is a youth school drama that tells the story of Luo Zhi (Zhu Yanmanzi), who writes about her unrequited feelings for Sheng Huainan (Zhao Shunran) in her diary. When the two enter the same university, their relationship develops with sweet innocence, even when they face together problems brought by reality, their families, and themselves.

A Love So Beautiful (2017)

Chinese Title: 致我们单纯的小美好

This is a classic among die-hard C-drama romantics! A Love So Beautiful is yet another youth school drama that depicts the love story of Chen Xiaoxi (Shen Yue), a cheerful girl who doesn’t like to study, and Jiang Chen (Hu Yitian), the handsome role model student, as they navigate through their high school, university, and adult lives.

Accidentally in Love (2018)

Chinese Title: 惹上冷殿下

When wealthy heiress Chen Qingqing (Sun Yining) runs away from her grandfather’s home to avoid an arranged marriage, she decides to change her name and enroll in the university her parents once studied in. In doing so, she runs into someone she knows — her now school seatmate Si Tufeng (Guo Junchen), a famous singer and celebrity who quickly becomes the center of public attention. While the two start off on the wrong foot, their relationship develops into something much more.
