Catch the season finale of the “Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart” series as candidates vie for the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines crown!

Missed seeing the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines 2022 candidates? No problem! Catch the #Gen新 candidates as they return for their last hurrah in a 90-minute “Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart” special finale episode that brings us an inside look into their journey as they compete for the crown.

CHiNOY TV’s “Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart” series has traditionally featured stories of business people, creatives, and established leaders. Now, it breaks its pattern by following the MMCP candidates as they take on the challenge of defining what it means to be part of the new generation of modern Chinoys while continuing the legacy of the older Chinoy generation.

The finale episode will feature never-before-seen clips of the contestants. The audience will get the chance to see the contestants in a new light: as seen in the clip below, tensions were already running high and one of the MMCP candidates still managed to crack a smile to the camera after being on stage.

“I did… okay!” says MMCP candidate Trumaine Tia as she lifts her hands in an ‘Okay’ gesture.

The MMCP candidates have been on this beautiful journey of preparing for the pageant for quite some time now, and it is not surprising that they have built some friendships way beyond the competition.

MMCP candidates Christine Ong and Lovely Lim try to calm each other’s nerves as they hug it out backstage.

In the series finale, the audience also gets to see a glimpse of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown 2020 winners Cassandra Chan (會新玉) and Justin Yap (叶俊良) rooting for the MMCP 2022 candidates.

Just look at how happy Chan and Yap are to see the new candidates doing their thing on the stage!

In a CNN interview, both Chan and Yap agreed that all the new candidates were amazing and they were looking forward to everyone seeing just how impressive they are.

“As Chinoys, we believe that the new generation will be the game changers for the succeeding generations to come,” says Mr. Chinatown 2020 Justin Yap.

While the new “Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart” series has always focused on the MMCP candidates on a deeper level, the finale episode is different from the others since it follows the candidates as they finally show the world what they have been working on for the past weeks and how they are dealing with the coronation night in-between takes.

Catch the 90-minute season finale of the “Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart” series coming this November 13 (Sunday), 8 PM only on CNN Philippines. Replays are on Saturdays at 6:30 PM.
