Asians are known for looking relatively young forever. But staying healthy is another thing altogether.
Here are beauty and wellness tips from Chinoy and Chinese celebrities that have noticeably stayed younger for years:
1. Kris Aquino
Kris Aquino is one of the most notable and famous personalities in the Filipino entertainment industry. The 49-year-old Chinoy television host, actress, producer, product endorser, and businesswoman has had consistently youthful skin for decades. The Queen of All Media previously suggested that when you find makeup and skincare products that work, don’t be afraid to hoard. Aquino also added that in order to preserve her skin, she makes an effort to avoid the sun and drinks liters of water in a day.

Lucy Liu is a Hollywood television and film actress who has constantly stayed stunning even now at the age of 52.
“After a long day of filming, I use eye makeup remover,” Liu shared with Future of Personal Health. “You don’t end up scrubbing and irritating the skin around your eyes — no matter how much makeup you’ve been wearing. [So] I use soap with a washcloth to wash my face. Afterward, I mix cream [containing colostrums], aloe vera, and a touch of oil together, then massage the mixture into my face.”
“Being Asian, I can burn in the sun if I’m not careful,” Liu said. “I also have some olive in my skin and can keloid easily, so I take extra precautions whenever I do stunts or anything active.”
“The main secret is simple: what you eat will eventually be reflected on the outside as well,” Liu added. “Drink lots of water, eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and meditate.”
4. Shu Qi
Shu Qi is known for constantly posting pictures of herself without any makeup on Instagram while still looking amazing. The 44-year-old Chinese actress, model, and restaurant owner has no qualms about sharing everything from her skin allergies to her bad hair days.
Oriental Aesthetique shared that Qi’s beauty tips for keeping her skin looking young are professional whitening creams and home remedies like rice flour mask. She, too, shared that having enough sleep and drinking lots of water can keep your skin healthy and beautiful.
5. Michelle Saram
Michelle Saram is a 46-year-old Chinese actress who starred in numerous television productions in the 1990s and early 2000s. The bronze beauty and athleisure guru shared that yoga and Pilates helped contribute to her healthy lifestyle and well-maintained complexion.
When asked by Asian News regarding her beauty secret for staying young, Saram said, “Having sufficient sleep is very important and I will try to sleep before 10 pm every night. What matters most is our mindset. We should learn and try new stuff and read more books. I love reading different types of books including health, mind enlightening, and science. I also analyze the food source such as [the] beginning of the soil reproduction and lacking of the nutrients.” She added that she drinks a lot of fluids like soup.
6. Charmaine Sheh
Charmaine Sheh is a 45-year-old Chinese actress that made her debut in 1997 after placing second runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant. During her 44th birthday, Sheh shared a barefaced photo and received numerous comments on how she still looked so young and beautiful.
The actress revealed her trick to having good skin with JayneStars: drinking lots of water each day to keep the skin hydrated at all times. Personally, Sheh shared that she also likes to drink carrot juice and apple juice.
