Mr. and Ms. Chinatown is one of the prestigious pageants that is officiated by Chinoy TV and the  Miss Chinatown Foundation, in search of a new face that will represent the modern Chinoys. Aiming to unify the two heritages, the youth plays an important role in promoting both culture. That said, the participation of youth in this pageant will not only help preserve the Chinese-Filipino culture for future generations, but also show the new dynasty of Chinoys, the beauty of their diverse culture.

1. Fashion Show sponsored by Zalora Philippines

E-shopping mall, Zalora Philippines, a key player in the fashion space, will sponsor the fashion show for this year’s Mr. and Ms. Chinatown. The fashion show will be held at Robinsons Manila. Isn’t that exciting? Who knows maybe you can be the next face for Zalora?

2. Mikko Araneta as the new Pageant Director along with a highly professional team

As  part of the 65th Miss Universe Team, Araneta will be bringing in lessons and tips he learned from the world’s biggest pageant to this year’s Mr. and Ms. Chinatown. Carrying the new pageant director title of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown 2018, he is beyond excited to embark on the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown journey together with the contestants.

3. Coronation Night will be held at the SM MOA Arena

Unlike last year’s Coronation Night, which was held at Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World, this year’s Mr. and Ms. Chinatown will be held in the same place as the Miss Universe 2017 - the Mall of Asia Arena. The arena sits a  full house capacity of 8,000, 5.5 times the capacity of Resorts World.

4. Post-pageant programs

Opportunities like endorsing for global brands, getting the chance to host in Chinoy TV,  being handled by reputable talent manager are just some of the exciting opportunities in stored for this year’s contestants!

Although, the young designer, Patricia Santos, has been in the industry for only half a decade, her name is definitely a familiar one.
