Gift Local Campaign Hosts E-bazaar to Support Local SMEs

“Gift love. Gift Local.” There is no better time to indulge in the spirit of giving than this Christmas season!

Globe myBusiness, in collaboration with Lazada, held its annual Gift Local E-Bazaar to support local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The three-day online event was an integral part of the recently launched Gift Local Campaign to motivate shoppers to gift family and friends with products by local businesses, as well as to recreate the Christmas that all Filipinos love.

This year, the Gift Local E-Bazaar also hoped to renew consumer confidence, especially in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The cause was supported by event partners, the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Negosyo Center, Ayala Foundation Inc., and Lazada.

Unli Fun, Unli Promos, and Unli Possibilities

Broadcasted as a livestream on both Globe myBusiness’ Facebook page and Lazlive feed, the Gift Local E-Bazaar, as hosted by Sandro Hermoso (Day 1) and Victor Anastacio (Days 2 and 3), promised an entertaining time filled with “unli fun, unli promos, and unli possibilities.” The event comprised a rundown feature of various local sellers, online GCash credit raffles, Christmas-themed games, and musical performances by their corporate choir, Globe Voices @Work.

Multiple SMEs from the food, travel, and retail industries were highlighted by the online bazaar. Participating merchants included Sarah’s Home, Apostrophe General Merchandise, VC Essencial, TeeshertCo, Bebe Co, Mineeyture, Obra Kinaiya, Terra Philippines, Staygrip, Shiemiee’s Oven, RV Retail Merchandise, Old World Food Enterprise, Annika’s Home, Crafts by Lesy, Bare Clothing, Hello Happy Nina, Bayongciaga, Crush Store, INDI Socks, Kayumanggi Organic, SomeBunny, Pac & Go, Pemilyhan, Ryxskin, SweetLi Bakes, The JC Good Life Shop, Balangay’s Best, Tiny Buds Baby Naturals, Meenakari MNL, Frederick’s Kitchen, Julyan by Zambawood, and Prime RME Trading (Sweet Picks by Abby’s).

Other projects for a cause

In addition to boosting the local economy, the Gift Local E-Bazaar also supported education initiatives, Brigada ng Ayala and Brigada Eskwela, led by the Ayala Foundation Inc. and the Department of Education (DepEd), respectively.

All merchant fees earned by the bazaar have been donated to Brigada ng Ayala in the form of 51 Globe Prepaid WiFi kits to be used by students, teachers, and schools nationwide. EduCare packs and connectivity tools have likewise been distributed to 60 schools around the country to support Brigada Eskwela in its mission to promote health, safety, and quality education.

Globe myBusiness continues to equip Filipino entrepreneurs with the insights and tools needed to operate in this new normal. Though the Gift E-Bazaar has concluded, the Gift Local Campaign offers several more exciting opportunities to come!
