CSMC’s HOW was officially inaugurated last Dec. 7, 2021. CSMC SVP and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Zenaida Javier-Uy, MMDA Chairman Atty. Benjamin Abalos Jr. and CSMC President and CEO Raul Pagdanganan were all present during the event to give a short message.
The event started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the Hospital on Wheels, followed by a short tour inside the truck. Next, CSMC’s SVP and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Zenaida Javier-Uy, gave short welcoming remarks to introduce Hospital on Wheels briefly. It was followed by a message by the esteemed guest of honor, MMDA Chairman Atty. Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr and a closing remark by none other than CSMC President and CEO Mr. Raul Pagdanganan.
“The creation of Hospital On Wheels was really to serve our patients better to assuage their fear of coming to our hospital. Indeed, we are committed to continuously serve and heal as many patients as possible,” said Cardinal Santos Medical Center VP and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Zenaida Javier-Uy.
“It is our hope that through the Hospital on Wheels, we give back to our patients their health. As a hospital, we continue to serve and give excellent care to our patients, who entrust their lives to us,” she continued.
Hospital on Wheels is an innovative model of healthcare delivery through a specially outfitted vehicle that has been repurposed to provide a wide array of hospital services such as doctor’s consultations, laboratory examinations, and specialized tests like ECG, ultrasound, and x-ray.
