The search for the next Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines (MMCP) continues. For now, a glittery and glamorous challenge awaits!
We’re now on our third episode of CHiNOY TV’s Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart: Mr. & Ms. Chinatown. This latest addition to the documentary series features MMCP candidates dressed proudly to the nines in their bejeweled gowns and dapper suits.
Moving onto the next phase of the competition, the pageant contestants will now bring forth all that they’ve learned to the spotlight as representatives of #Gen新, the rising generation of Chinoys whose traditional values are expressed with an open and modern mind. The theme for this episode’s stage is creativity, which challenges the MMCP candidates to express the most authentic version of themselves as a member of the Chinese-Filipino community.
Guiding the 20 MMCP contestants are Justin Yap and Cassandra Chan, the 2020 titleholders of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines. The reigning couple will be passing down their crowns to the new winners of the pageant during the coronation night that will be held on October 30, (Sunday) at the Solaire Resort.
“It starts with this momentous event here, where the next batch of modern Chinoys will be kicking off the experience of a lifetime as they unlock their potential to be the next ambassador and ambassadress of the Chinoy new,” declared Justin Yap as in a press conference in Shangri-la Plaza.
