Traditional Chinese Medicine: Contribution to the Prevention and Control of COVID-19

Written by: Axel Deion

Did you know that even though the origins of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) dates back to ancient times, its alternative medical practices still remain very relevant today? Its various approaches such as acupuncture and moxibustion are currently being used to improve personal well-being and even cure infectious diseases.

Together with the Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines, the UP Chinese Student Association (UPCSA) proudly presents a seminar on “Traditional Chinese Medicine: Contribution to the Prevention and Control of COVID-19.”

The seminar features a formal lecture by Dr. Qiming Zheng, the chairman of the Philippine TCM center on the topic of TCM, and a special acupuncture demonstration by Dr. Baoyan Liu, the president of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies. The program also includes segments for distinguished guests and different university administrators.

It will be held at the Balay Kalinaw Internasyonal Conference Hall at the University of the Philippines Diliman campus on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM.

The event is open to the public and walk-ins are allowed, but minimum health protocol will be strictly observed. Interested participants may RSVP here: https://bit.ly/CSAxCITCMFor inquiries, please contact the UPCSA Facebook page, or Darwin Co at 091798344823.
