CBFH S6 Premieres on October 12: Rooted in Faith in the Chinese-Filipino Community
CHiNOY TV is set to premiere the sixth season of its acclaimed series, Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart (CBFH), on October 12, 2025. This season begins with a story that highlights how faith and heritage are deeply intertwined in the lives of Chinese Filipinos.

The pilot episode, “Rooted in Faith,” features reflections from prominent figures in the community, including Monsignor Esteban “Bong” Lo 盧德範蒙席, Rector of the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of San Lorenzo Ruiz; Father Ari Dy, SJ 陈孟利神父, President of Ateneo de Naga University; and Dr. Juliet Uytanlet 许柳丽, from Asian Theological Seminary. These profiles explore how faith has shaped values, traditions, and a sense of belonging among Chinese Filipinos, showing that religion and heritage are inseparable in guiding community life.

Episode 1 explores the role of Catholicism in the Chinese-Filipino community, tracing its influence on parishes, family traditions, and cultural identity. The profilers’ reflections reveal how spirituality continues to serve as a bridge between Chinese heritage and Filipino life, reinforcing community bonds and personal values.

The episode also includes a segment on ERSAO.
