CBFH S5 Premieres on Sept 8: FFCCCII’s 70 Years of Chinese-Filipino Legacy

CHiNOY TV is set to premiere the fifth season of its acclaimed series, Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart, on September 8, 2024. This season, titled Dugong Tsino, Pusong Pinoy, will celebrate the vibrant cultural fusion of Chinese and Filipino heritage and mark the 70th anniversary of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII).

Episode Features and Profiler Lineup

The pilot episode will showcase ten prominent figures from the Chinese-Filipino community. Among them are Cecilio Pedro, President of FFCCCII, and Victor Lim, Executive Vice President. Other featured profilers include Antonio Tan, Vice President and Bicol Representative; George Chiu Hok Huy, Vice President; Alfonso Uy, Past President (2009-2011); George Chua Cham, Board Member for Northwestern Luzon Region; Henry Chusuey, Board Member for Panay Region; Willy Limbonhai, Board Member for Northern Mindanao and Auditor; Meah Ang See from Bahay Tsinoy, Museum of Chinese in Philippine Life; and Gerik Chua, Vice President of Operations at Eng Bee Tin Chinese Deli.

The episode will highlight the significant role of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) through insights from Dr. Cecilio Pedro, who will discuss the federation’s 70-year journey and impact.

Additionally, Meah Ang See will offer a comprehensive historical overview of Chinese-Filipino relations, covering the period from the pre-Spanish era to contemporary times. Viewers will also gain insights into the development of mooncakes at Eng Bee Tin, as shared by Gerik Chua, showcasing how this iconic delicacy has evolved within the community.
