CHiNOY TV’s Chinese by Blood, Global by Heart Premieres June 29
CHiNOY TV is set to launch the premiere of its newest cultural docuseries, Chinese by Blood, Global by Heart (CBGH), on June 29, 2025. CBGH is the international adaptation of CHiNOY TV’s acclaimed series Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart brings you inspiring stories from 20 Huaren 华人 around the world.
The first episode, titled “Beyond Beauty, Beyond Borders,” explores how Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global has evolved into a global movement that unites Huaren 华人 communities across continents while celebrating culture, identity, and excellence.

“Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global is more than just a pageant. I think it is a platform to celebrate culture, diversity, and excellence,” said Frances Cham Chua, Pageant Director of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global 2025. She explained further, “We actually aim to unite the Chinese people—or what we call the Hua Ren—around the world. And we just want to prove to everyone that despite our differences, our cultural roots connect us all.”
“Pageantry in its essence is about the celebration of culture, of diversity, of representation,” noted Mikko Araneta, Executive Director of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global. He added, “I think that Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global, its core is being able to put together the common thread of those that have Chinese heritage and blood in them. That’s important, because that is your DNA. That is who you are, and that’s what you celebrate. So to be able to celebrate your persona, your history, your heritage—I think that’s very important.”
Reflecting on the shared identity among Chinese communities worldwide, Alvin Kingson Tan, CEO of CHiNOY TV, said, “A Chinese-Filipino, Chinese-Malaysian, Chinese-American—everyone’s unique. But whenever we talk to each other, there’s something that connects all of us. We’re able to connect because of our Chinese culture.”
“Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global is our way of giving back to the Chinese community,” shared Alexis Go, Global Director for Global Search of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global. She added, “Unite them in one platform and evolve it in the Philippines and elevate our global stage, and then show it to all of the world how beautiful, how blessed, and how talented Chinese people are around the world.”
