Adapted from the novel series Onmyouji (陰陽師) by Yumemakura Baku (夢枕獏), this Netflix film is set to have its international release this Friday, February 5, 2021.
The story is about a mystical fantasy world where humans and supernatural beings co-exist. It begins by telling us how cosmologist Qing Ming and his friend Bo Ya meet while taking part in a celestial ritual.
When a demonic serpent reawakens, the Yin-Yang masters must solve a murder mystery and protect their realms from a dark conspiracy at the royal court. However, the princess of the kingdom has her own plans for the demon and its power to grant her eternal life. She and the head of the royal guard conspire behind the Yin-Yang Masters’ backs to claim this power for their own purposes.
Fans say that people can look forward to the visual and special effects. This film also has a solid cast as Mark Chao, the actor in the hit drama Eternal Love, and Deng Lun, the actor in Ashes of Love, took the leading roles in this movie.
