The ongoing pandemic is a crisis opening an opportunity for BA Foundation to expand its mission to help more people and provide the necessary equipment to contain the spread of the new coronavirus in the country.

The foundation has donated 20,000 face masks and 10,000 face shields to the City Government of Manila. Ambassador Francis Chua, Chairman of the BA Foundation, turned over the donation to Manila City Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso on October 16, 2020.

Prior to this, the BA Foundation has already been actively providing COVID-19 response measures to major hospitals, organizations, government agencies, and private entities in Metro Manila and other parts of the country. Among the items previously turned over by the organization are medicines and personal protective equipment (masks, face shields, goggles, personal protective clothing, and gloves) for healthcare frontliners.

The BA Foundation was founded by Ambassador Chua and family with the goal to promote the overall human development of impoverished and marginalized groups. Its mission is to provide people in need with opportunities to improve their quality of life and alleviate their hardship through training, education, scholarship assistance, and organization programs.
