Chinese New Year Activities to Look Forward to

Looking forward to Chinese New Year? Us too! We’ve found a few fun things you can do to celebrate the Lunar New Year!

15th Spring Festival

The Ateneo de Manila University, along with their partners, present the 15th Spring Festival! The online celebration will run until Feb. 6, 2021 with a series of lectures on Chinese culture. There were will be an interesting discourse on the lotus foot tradition on Feb. 5 at 2pm and landscape painting on Feb. 6 at 2pm. The weekend will close with a musical concert at 7pm on Feb. 7. You can catch their live streams on any of these pages: Chinatown Museum, CHiNOY TV, Ateneo Celadon, or Ateneo Richard Leong Center for Chinese Studies.

 

Ayala Malls x CNY

Ayala Malls is ready for you in case you really don’t want to spend Chinese New Year at home. Ayala Malls will bring in “Chinatown Village.”  Mallgoers can now enjoy the same Chinatown experience safely through different activities of Ayala Malls. Equip yourself with a mask, a face shield, and a lot of sanitizer and enjoy the festivities in store for you at the nearest Ayala Mall from Feb. 8-14, 2021.

 

 

Modern Tao Ke Fair

Ayala Malls, in collaboration with Globe myBusiness, will also hold a mouthwatering food fair called, Modern Tao Ke Fair. The event will feature different Chinoy food vendors with Chinese New Year dishes and more. This is also in partnership with Fil Chi Ho Tsia Ho Dim. Foodies can satisfy their cravings from Feb 8-14 at Greenbelt and Feb 12-14 for other participating Ayala Malls, including Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Ayala Malls Cloverleaf, and Ayala Malls Circuit.

 

Feng Shui Live

According to the latest reading, 2021 will be the year for economic recovery. Globe myBusiness Modern Tao Ke’s Feng Shui Live aims to guide and empower the Tao Kes to thrive in 2021 through the business forecast of Feng Shui expert Kevin Foong from Singapore.
