Ramon S. Ang: Skyway Stage 3 is Free for Motorists for One Month

Skyway Stage 3

The Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3, an 18-kilometer expressway that stretches from Buendia, Makati City to the North Luzon Expressway in Balintawak, Quezon City, is partially open today, December 29, 2020, and will remain free for motorists for one month, according to San Miguel Corporation President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon Ang.

The elevated expressway is a partnership between the government and San Miguel Corporation. Motorists can soon have full access to all seven lanes on the skyway by January 14, 2021.

The skyway is also purported to help decongest traffic on Metro Manila roads, “especially C4 (EDSA), C5 (CP Garcia) and Central Metro Manila,” according to the Department of Public Works and Highways website.

Prominent Chinoy business tycoon Ang shared this announcement through a Facebook post, stating in part:

By January 14, we can all enjoy the full benefits of this engineering marvel. Despite the continuous rains that delayed its completion, the entire team worked so hard to deliver this game-changing project. Maraming salamat po. To the Duterte administration, I cannot thank you enough for all the support – from our President Rodrigo Duterte, Secretary Villar, Secretary Tugade to Secretary Dominguez. We all did it! Truly amazing what we can achieve when we work together with a shared vision, and for a worthy goal. Sama-sama. Babangon tayo.
