CHiNOY TV Launches “Chinese by Blood, Global by Heart” in Celebration of 50 Years of Philippines-China Relations

This year marks two meaningful milestones: the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China, and the 15th anniversary of CHiNOY TV, the country’s leading platform for stories about the Chinese Filipino community. To commemorate both, CHiNOY TV is unveiling a special new documentary, Chinese by Blood, Global by Heart — an international adaptation of its acclaimed series Chinese by Blood, Filipino by Heart.
While the original series focused on Chinese Filipinos, this new installment expands its reach to the global Chinese diaspora. It highlights the voices of modern Huaren (华人) — a diverse, advocacy-driven generation proudly rooted in their heritage while embracing a global identity. The film shares powerful personal stories that explore how identity, culture, and purpose intersect in today’s interconnected world.
The documentary also honors the decades-long relationship between the Philippines and China, reflecting on how cultural ties, shared values, and cooperation have helped shape both nations over the last 50 years.
