DLSU Englicom’s Chinoy Entrepreneur: A Socio-Civic Series

As tough times are ahead, the COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly affected our society. Together, we must unite as one and help each other especially in this time of crisis. DLSU Englicom proudly presents Chinoy Entrepreneur: A Socio-Civic Series. This is a 3-day event for 3 consecutive Saturdays – happening on August 15, 22, and 29, 2020 from 1:00-3:00 PM. Englicom has invited three distinct speakers from Chinoy-led companies who will be sharing their success stories and how they positively left an impact towards the community.

Englicom is honored to showcase the three Chinoy speakers who have shown their success not only in the field of business, but also have shown their compassion through giving back to the community.

Last August 15, 2020, Chinoy Entrepreneur: A Socio-Civic Series revealed their first speaker, Mr. Jerwin Ng Guan of Golden Fire & Rescue Volunteer Unit, Inc. He is not only a volunteer, but also an entrepreneur as the owner of San Juan City’s very own Golden Chicken House & Chinese Food Center. He is also a veterinary consultant for Progressive Laboratories, Qualibet Assurance, and Progressive Poultry Supply Corp. During his talk, Mr. Guan shared his journey on becoming the company president and his passion for firefighting. He even talked about his experience during the time that his company shouldered expenses to ensure that the community is safe from the immediate fire.

On August 22, the second speaker was introduced: none other than Ms. Alma Uy! She is the founder and current president of Tagum City Council of Women, Foundation Inc., which empowers women and gives them the opportunity to thrive and lead meaningful lives. Her organization is known by providing services in health, socio-economic and livelihood, education and training, anti-violence against women and children, environment and sanitation, general membership, and international linkages. In her talk, she highlighted the importance of women empowerment and all the values her organization is known for, especially during these uncertain times.

Of course, save the best for the last! Don’t miss the chance and listen to the last speaker for the Chinoy Entrepreneur: A Socio-Civic Series. Happening this Saturday, August 29, 2020, Englicom invites you to attend the talk of Mr. Francis Glenn Yu as he will be discussing 8 Lessons to Fuel a Better Future. Mr. Yu is representing SEAOIL Philippines Inc. and Pamilya Muna Philippines.
