For the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines (MMCP) contestants this year, the phoenix is more than just the symbol of the crown they are all vying for. More than that, it signifies their advocacy to rise from the ashes and start anew, just like the mythical bird.
In their third challenge, the MMCP candidates took their chance to strengthen their cultural ties and to exhibit their Chinoy heritage by creating their very own phoenix headpiece! With this challenge, each candidate was able to show their own portrayal of strength and renewal through their unique headpieces.
