Love C-pop? Then, you don’t want to miss out on the Mandopop Music Festival Season 3, a Mandarin singing competition, on April 17, 2021 on Facebook Live.
The event is presented by Ateneo Celadon in collaboration with the Ateneo Ricardo Leong Center for Chinese Studies and welcomes all students from local and international high schools and universities to participate and/or attend a night filled with music and Chinese pop culture. Due to the recent pandemic, this year’s Mandopop Music Festival will adapt to an online setting with an expected attendance of 600+ participants worldwide.
The program will highlight performances by students who have prepared to share their talents in a thrilling music competition. Viewers can also look forward to various raffles and games at the festivities. At the end of the night, there will be three (3) major winners with cash prizes, as well as minor prizes, such as the People’s Choice Award.
The project is managed by the project managers, Pamela Uy and Katrina Tan, with the direct guidance of Ramon Li, Charmaine Co, and Hazer Guevarra, who are members of the executive and central board of Ateneo Celadon, respectively. The project is possible thanks to the 45 core team members under the different committees: Creatives, Documentations and Publications, Fund Raising, Logistics, Marketing, Partnerships, Programs, Screening, and Secretariat.
Until then, check out these C-pop groups you shouldn’t sleep on.
