Good news: Wind from the Luoyang has begun filming and is set to air next year!
Directed by Xie Ze, 风起洛阳 is based on the novel Luo Yang (洛阳) by Ma Bo Yong, who also wrote The Longest Day in Chang’an. It’s set in the ancient capital, Luoyang, during the era of 13 dynasties. Luoyang is one of the four great ancient capitals of China other than Beijing, Nanjing, and Chang’an.
With Victoria Song as Wu Si Yue, Huang Xuan as Gao Bing Zhu, and Wang Yi Bo as Bai Li Hong Yi, the three come together to investigate a series of mysterious incidents and a conspiracy to overthrow Empress Wu Ze Tian. Wu Ze Tian is the only woman to rule in more than 3,000 years of Chinese history.
Huang Xuan plays Gao Bing Zhu, a deputy marshal who is tasked to investigate the death of an informant who had urgent information for the empress.
Wang Yi Bo, on the other hand, plays Bai Li Hong Yi, a minister’s son who seeks justice for his father who was poisoned.
Victoria Song plays the role of the third investigator, Wu Si Yue. She is a palace guard that discovers that there’s much more to the murder case.
With a total of 40 episodes at 45 minutes each, this drama is one of the much-anticipated shows as the main cast is one of the best!
